How the folding weighted hula hoop works

The function of the ONE Fitness OHA02 hoop is very simple. The construction consists of 24 identical parts that fit into each other. To close the hoop, you must use at least 14 parts, which then create a circle with an inner diameter of 20 cm; if you connect all 24 parts, the inner diameter will be 39 cm. The OHA02 model is suitable for a waist circumference from 60 to 118 centimeters. The individual pieces are enclosed by a rail into which an anchor equipped with four ball bearings is inserted before closing. A weight of 300 grams is attached to the anchor using a length-adjustable cord. The cord can be set to a length of 20 to 30 centimeters, and changing the length of the cord adjusts the resulting centrifugal force of the weight - the longer the cord, the "heavier" the weight will be.

Warm-up preparation

The length of the hoop is adjusted according to your waist circumference so that it is loose enough but at the same time does not fall over your hips. The hoop is closed around the waist and then the load is "thrown" in the direction in which we will rotate our hips to start exercising. The OHA02 hoop is equipped on the inside with massage surfaces that pleasantly massage the waist area. The intensity of the training is affected by the speed at which we rotate our hips.
