How to choose the right boxing glove size?

Boxing gloves come in sizes 4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz, and 16 oz. The oz (ounce) designation refers to the amount of padding in the glove – in other words, the size of the striking surface. Wrist and knuckle protection is complemented by hand wraps (2.5 m, 4.5 m, or glove-style inner wraps).

Choose your glove size based on how you plan to use them:

  • Training and sparring – we recommend larger sizes (12 oz, 14 oz, 16 oz). More padding means a softer impact and greater safety for both you and your training partner.
  • Competition – 10 oz is the standard. Less padding means a harder punch, and that counts in a fight.
  • Smaller athletes and women – 10 oz gloves are also a good choice for fighters with smaller hands.
  • Kids – children's gloves are available from as small as 4 oz.

The best thing you can do, however, is consult your coach – they will recommend the most suitable option for your training.

How to properly mold your mouthguard?

  1. Pour boiling water (100 °C) into a ceramic bowl (not a metal one).
  2. Place the mouthguard in the bowl for exactly 25 seconds.
  3. Remove the mouthguard with a spoon and gently shake off the excess water.
  4. Place the mouthguard in your mouth and bite down firmly for 20 seconds.
  5. Then release the firm bite and keep the mouthguard in your mouth for another 30 seconds.
  6. Remove it from your mouth and place it in a bowl of cold water for 30 seconds.
  7. The mouthguard should fit snugly on your teeth and should not fall out.
  8. If it does not stay in place, repeat the entire process.
