The HMS HHW06 is a hula hoop with an adjustable length, massage bumps, a counter and a rotating weight.

How the folding weighted hula hoop works

The function of the HMS HHW06 hoop is very simple. The construction consists of 16 identical parts that connect to each other using couplings. To close the hoop, at least 12 pieces must be used, which then create a circle with an inner diameter of 24 centimeters; if you connect all 16 pieces, the inner diameter will be 34 centimeters. The HHW06 model is suitable for a waist circumference from 76 to 111 centimeters. The individual parts conceal a rail into which an anchor with a counter, fitted with four ball bearings, is inserted before closing. The counter display shows the number of revolutions of the anchor around the hoop. A weight of 400 grams is attached to the anchor using a length-adjustable cord. The cord can be set to a length of 20 to 38 centimeters; changing the length of the cord adjusts the resulting centrifugal force of the weight – the longer the cord, the "heavier" the weight will be.

Warm-up preparation

The length of the hoop is set according to the waist circumference so that it is loose enough, but at the same time does not fall over the hips. After setting the length, the hoop is locked using a connecting piece fitted with a lever for operating the lock. The weight is then "thrown" in the direction in which we will rotate our hips and we start the training. The HHW06 hoop is fitted on the inside with massage bumps with springs that dampen vibrations from the moving anchor while pleasantly massaging the waist area. The intensity of the training is affected by the length of the cord and the speed at which we rotate our hips.

Burning calories and strengthening the core

Regular use of the HMS HHW06 can slim the abdomen and waist; hip twisting reduces the fatty tissues of the thighs and buttocks. The rhythmic movement engages the deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles in training. Intense training accelerates metabolism and in a short time you'll burn a huge amount of calories – with a classic hula hoop it's up to 200 kcal in 30 minutes; with weights the number is even higher.
