How the folding weighted hula hoop works

The function of the HMS HHW09 hoop is very simple. The construction consists of 16 identical parts that fit into each other. To close the hoop, you must use at least 14 parts, which then create a circle with an inner diameter of 24 cm; if you connect all 16 parts, the inner diameter will be 29 cm. The HHW09 model is suitable for waist circumferences from 76 to 91 centimeters. The individual parts are enclosed by a rail into which an anchor with a counter, equipped with four ball bearings, is inserted before closing. The counter display shows the number of revolutions of the anchor around the hoop. A weight of 380 grams is attached to the anchor using a length-adjustable cord. The cord can be set to a length from 22 to 38 cm, and changing the length of the cord adjusts the resulting centrifugal force of the weight - the longer the cord, the "heavier" the weight will be.

Warm-up preparation

The hoop length is adjusted according to your waist circumference so that it is loose enough but does not fall over your hips. After adjusting the length, the hoop is secured in place with a fastener equipped with a lock control lever. Then the weight is "thrown" in the direction in which you will twist your hips, and you start exercising. The HHW09 hoop is fitted on the inside with spring-loaded massage studs that dampen the vibrations from the moving anchor while pleasantly massaging the waist area. The intensity of the training is affected by the cord length and the speed at which you twist your hips.

Regular use of the HMS HHW09 can slim the abdomen and waist; hip twisting reduces the fatty tissue of the thighs and buttocks. The rhythmic movement engages the deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles in exercise.
