The HMS KO1655 is an orthosis, or knee stabilizer. Its role is to prevent the knee from moving sideways and backwards during recovery from a sprain or other injury. The orthosis is also used as injury prevention.
The HMS KO1655 brace is made of a combination of neoprene, polyester and nylon with an airprene finish. The resulting material is elastic, stretchable in all directions and, using the Velcro system, the stabilizer can be set precisely according to your needs. On the sides, reinforcements are sewn into the construction, which prevent sideways and backward movement of the knee. In the front part there is a zippered pocket, in which there is a silicone ring for stabilizing the kneecap. The ring can be easily removed and it's up to you how much you need to stabilize the knee.
