Grappling dummy DBX BUSHIDO DBX-D-1 without filling

The DBX BUSHIDO DBX-D-1 training dummy imitates a live opponent and is used in MMA, judo and wrestling as an aid for realistic training of kicks, punches, various choking techniques, etc.

Material and construction

The dummy is made of Rexion synthetic leather, which resembles genuine leather and is used, among other things, to make punching bags. Thick, raw thread was used for all seams. This production process guarantees high durability and resistance. Thanks to the adhesive layer, the material does not tear. If necessary, the weight of the dummy can be added or increased using the zipper that runs along the back. For safety, the zipper is covered with a leather trim.

Optimal dimensions

The DBX-D-1 dummy has a standard height of 166 cm and, when ideally filled, weighs approximately 30 kg. These are the optimal dimensions and weight for training adults and advanced practitioners.

Safety during training

The dummy has no sharp edges or steel parts that could pose a danger during training. The only element that presents a risk is the zipper on the back, and it is covered with a cuff.

This variant comes without a filling; the following can be used to fill it:

• fabric offcuts from clothing. You'll also find offcuts in most tailor shops.
• sawdust without large or sharp pieces of wood.
• Sand can be used to increase the weight, but it should not take up more than 20 % of the filling.
• All the listed options can be combined to achieve the dummy's ideal properties.

Note: The dummy is not intended for arm locks (for this type of training we recommend the DBX-D-3 model).
